Essential Locksmith Skills Required
Excellent practical and problem solving skills good customer care, knowledge of the tools required to carry out locksmith Dublin duties. A patient approach, with the ability to pay attention to detail.
Quality and neat fitting of locks to wood and metal doors. Non-destructive entry to deadlocks, latch locks and multi-point door locks. Repairing, replacing or upgrading existing locks Key cutting. A background in working with master key systems – desirable but certainly not essential as training will be provided.
Carpentry skills would be highly desirable but not essential. Full Clean Driving License essential. Resides in the Dublin area so that you are able to commute to base easily but also you need to know how to get around Ireland easily by road.

- Strip and understand the characteristics and rebuild a range of vehicle locks
- Recognise lock faults, repair and service effectively
- Effective entry of vehicles without causing damage
- Lock picking and decoding both cylinder and laser locks
- Key cutting, both duplication and to code
- How to find key code locations and vehicle information
- An overview of immobiliser systems, transponders and diagnostics practical experience on modern vehicles
- Key & remote programming skills using the AD100Pro / MVPPro
- Specialist programming software such as True code & Cryptoworks
- Understanding transponders, fixed, Crypto and Precoded
- Key cloning procedures, methods benefits and usages
- Eeprom and microprocessor programming de-soldering & soldering techniques
- Completion of various vehicle scenarioswe
